What a day at @thetourofcambs ‘The Hell of Cambr

What a day at @thetourofcambs ‘The Hell of Cambridgeshire’ - blow-up at 70 miles (was averaging 25mph), lost groups, that killed my speed, then out in the 15mph wind alone. Finished 4.48 hours.

Did my best in prep, alongside my excellent coach @mattmatt36, and on the day.

This year was a very fast ToC, in 2019 the qualifying time for my age was 4.38 hours (average 21.5mph) and this year 4.12 (average 23.5 mph!). I had trained for 22 mph. Oh well.

Overall, a great experience, well organised on closed roads and enjoyed the intense build up, working with Matt and the hell pace on the day 🚴🏻‍♂️😫 Next years ToC maybe…
